Shoppers were given the chance to try their hand at graffiti and walked away with an array of gifts for their efforts

In June, 2014 Duracoat partnered with the Sarit Centre to bring another exciting urban art project to city residents. Members of the public shopping at the mall were treated to a live display of graffiti art as Spray for Change artists Wise Two, Swift9, Kerosh and Uhuru B transformed one of the tunnels in The Sarit Centre’s exciting new expansion into a unique art installation. The art mural depicted an individual, plugged in to an ever busy, fast paced society, seeking to find balance with their inner self and nature. The colour combinations used by the artists aimed to create an atmosphere of zen and tranquillity for patrons visiting the Centre.

Shoppers were also given the chance to try their hand at graffiti and walked away with an array of gifts for their efforts. With Peter Marangi on location, it was a fun-filled day’s activities for all. The mural is located in Tunnel C in the lower ground floor car park. The installation was dismantled six months upon completion of the construction.
