Awaaz is a quarterly magazine.  It researches, records and disseminates information on the South Asian Community in East Africa, and partcularly in Kenya in the context of national politics of the colonial and post independance era.  It also includes insights into international affairs that impact Kenya and the world.  It researches and publishes book reviews and cultural items of relevance to South Asians and to date has a circulation of 1500 copies.

Awaaz responds to a need for a publication that fosters serious debates and focuses on analysis of social processes rather than reporting of news events.
